Sunrise School Division has paid for each student in the division to have an account for Office 365, an online Microsoft Office platform that allows users to use the popular Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), as well as several new applications.  Students can access these apps online when they are connected to Wi-Fi, even if their home device does not have Microsoft Office.  All of the middle years students and most of the high school students in the school have had an introduction to logging on and using Office 365. 

 

Besides using Office 365 as a way to access popular programs like Word and PowerPoint, several teachers have uploaded assignments and course content to apps like Teams through Office 365.  Students can also submit assignments to teachers through their One Drive app. 

 

Logging on to Office 365 Account

  1. Go to office.com
  2. Click on Sign In
  3. Enter student email as the sign in email (lastname@stu.sunrisesd.ca)
  4. Use your regular computer password that you use to log onto the school computers as your password
