What is different about grade 9? Semester system! Final Exams! Each course=1 credit. If you fail a course…you do it again next year. No homeroom teacher!

Manitoba Graduation Requirements All students in Manitoba must graduate with 30 credits accumulated throughout grades 9-12. Students must pass all MANDATORY courses in grades 9-12. Students may earn the remainder of their credits with OPTIONAL credits.

Course Selection Timetables have been given to the students and will be accepted back on Thursday, June 1st. They are to be handed in to the office. First come, first serve. If a student does not earn a credit in high school, they must repeat the course. There is a strong domino effect! Volunteer Credit may begin in grade 9 and be collected throughout high school. 110 hours of community service. Must see Ms. Gow in September for pre-approval of activity and registration.
